Wiccian
Using the catalogue search ‘English witchcraft’ I visited English Museums and photographed items presented to me by the curator. 'Wiccian' is the result of these museum visits. The images act as talismans identifying the magic they withhold.
The images are displayed in box frames alongside items collected on each visit and the label from the museum. Asking questions around what is collected and the stories they contain.
This body of work was part of Metamorphosis an exhibition at The Science Museum curated by Marina Warner and Sarah Bakewell supported by Wellcome Trust, toured across the UK in 2002..
